My sound system consists of Denon professional digital audio components, Shure microphones and the state-of-the-art BOSE L1 sound system. My sound system is compact, sleek, understated in appearance and produces crystal clear sound for small and large reception venues. In my opinion, every bride and groom deserves a professional grade sound system of this caliber for their wedding. Whether it's quiet dinner music or time to crank it up and get everyone on the dance floor, it sounds awesome, period.
You'll probably notice that as you do your research that most DJ websites do not pay much attention to their sound system. The truth is, aside from playing a great mix, producing outstanding sound is the lifeblood of the disc jockey business. One of the things I notice when I meet with prospective brides is no one ever asks what type of speakers I use and just assumes all wedding DJs use the same gear and trust me, we don't. The BOSE L1 is used by less than 5% of professional DJs today because most wedding DJs will not make this type of investment. The average wedding DJ uses two powered speakers without subwoofers and (in my opinion) they are not powerful enough to provide ample sound coverage for medium to large weddings. If a DJ uses this minimal speaker configuration and depending on varying factors (number of guests, room acoustics and certain types of music, etc.), they often come up short on power and push their speakers beyond their limitations and sound could be distorted.
The BOSE L1 is a ground-breaking, unique Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker that fills the room with clear sound like no ordinary speaker can. The L1 sounds absolutely beautiful at all volumes and BOSE is renowned worldwide for stunning, full, live-sounding music and this speaker system is no different. The BOSE L1 stands 7 feet tall and produces full-range sound from twenty-four (24) drivers over 180 degrees horizontally (90 degrees is about the maximum for conventional speakers). This means that virtually everyone in the room will be able to hear precisely the same detail and quality of music and speeches. The sound coverage is truly remarkable and an incredible dynamic that has to be experienced to be believed.
